Sharp thought about every single stuff that may happen to you in your life, like for example the need to quickly get a new brain just in case yours is not enough… No seriously, Sharp Japan releases a new series of “Brain” pocket dictionaries with the PW-AC910 and PW-GC610.

If both models features a Color Screen, a drawing pad with writing recognition, both however are dedicated to 2 different usage, the First one, the PW-AC910 is dedicated for the general population while the PW-CG610 is more dedicated for students. Strong from this difference each dictionary will have a specific library matching each customers needs.

On the addition to the usual dictionary and encyclopedia stuff, our 2 “Brain” also includes 100 different videos pre-loaded going and the possibility for anyone to purchase additional videos that just happen to be recording of school lessons with exercises and explanations.

Not a bad price for a pine trail netbook. Not a significant upgrade for the existing Lenovo S10-2 users, but fine enough for the users seeking for a brand new Pine trail netbook

Really want one of Lenovo’s latest IdeaPads as soon as possible? Willing to pay a little premium for the priviledge? Check out Amazon, where you can now plunk down 380 of your hard earned dollars to get first in line — or close to it, anyway. The S10-3 was said to be headed for retail sometime this month when it was announced, so a pre-order at this point isn’t particularly surprising, but a price that’s $30 higher than MSRP is. A little. We wouldn’t be particularly inclined to click the little shopping cart next to a listing without a picture or a proper model name, but more power to you impulse orderers.

Holy smokes! A ton of unannounced HP laptops and desktops just came across our desk, in addition to those Envy models we saw just a few days back. Ahead of what we presume will be their formal announcement next week right around CES, we’ve got some details on 14 new models — some more interesting than others. Now, before you get too excited, we don’t have full specs on any of these, but we do have pricing information, and here are some highlights: the 14-inch HP Pavilion dv4i, a Windows 7 laptop with a flush display and fingerprint reader that should run about $785. Up next is the 10-inch Mini 210 HD Edition, which will come in red, black, silver and blue, boast Intel’s brand new Pine Trail platform (a 1.66GHz N450 CPU), plus GMA 3150 graphics. Another goodie here is that this one is expected to ship with Broadcom’s Crystal HD video playback chip. The Mini 210 HD is expected to cost around $330.

Logic Buy (the point of origin for all this info) is reporting that these models should ship on or around January 7th, though keep in mind that all of this information is extremely unofficial, so don’t blame us if it all changes.

Looks like we’re going to see a steady trickle of Pine Trail Atom N450-based netbooks before the dam bursts wide at CES 2010, and next up today is Fujitsu, which just officially announced the MH380 that hit the FCC last month. Basic specs are slightly better than usual, with 2GB of RAM, a 250GB drive, built-in Bluetooth and a standard six-cell battery under a 10.1-inch 1366×768 screen, but we’re most intrigued by that little divot next to the trackpad, which functions as a scroll wheel. We’ll definitely have to check that out in person when we get to Vegas — hopefully Fujitsu will have some pricing and availability details for us then as well.

We know HTC don’t make tablet computers, but that cannot stop a good designer from running his imagination and coming up with a neat design of a futuristic tablet computer. The HTC Evolve is a conceptual product designed by Timur Pinar and features a neat design. In the dream world it has an Intel Atom processor, Touchscreen display (multi-touch would be better!), 128GB SSD, 1.5 GB of RAM, a webcam, and Android / Chrome OS. Looks like HTC must give it a thought!

You do realize that all those Atom-based netbooks on sale for the holidays will be abandoned entirely in January right? Go ahead and pull the trigger for that “new” ViewSonic netbook if you must, just realized that you’ll be running last-gen hardware in less than a month if rumor, innuendo, and leaks all converge with the release of Pineview netbooks as expected. More details have appeared today at retailers listing specifications and pics for the unannounced ASUS EeePC model 1005P and 1005PE. Sporting the Eee PC Seashell design, we’re looking at a pair of 10-inch LED backlit displays with a 1,024 x 600 pixel resolution, Intel Atom N450 proc, 1GB DDR2-RAM, and a Windows 7 Starter Edition preload riding GMA 3150 graphics — a slightly faster version of Intel’s G31 based GMA 3100. The PE model sports a bigger 250GB hard disk and higher capacity 6-cell battery for a reported 12.5 hours of go-go juice thanks, in part, to the more efficient N450 CPU. Expect to see these Eees get official with price and launch date any day now.

Well, maybe it’s not as bad as it sounds, but it’s still not so good. As you’re probably aware, over the last week or so Windows users of all stripes (not just Windows 7 users, as it turns out) have been complaining of a plain black screen that appears upon login — at which point the systems lock up, and… that’s it. Aside from some users getting an additional My Computer window (lucky devils) the system grinds to a halt. According to a Microsoft email that’s making the rounds, the company is “investigating reports that its latest release of security updates is resulting in system issues for some customers.” Until that time, what’s a poor PC user to do? Prevx, a UK developer of anti-malware software, has surmised that a recent Windows security patch changed Access Control List (ACL) entries in the registry, preventing some software from running properly and prompting Engadget to whip up a Bergman-inspired graphic. If your machine should find itself afflicted, Prevx has put together a fix that it claims will do the trick. Keep in mind that we don’t know these guys, so don’t blame us if it blows up your computer — or gives you the Bubonic plague. We’ll let you know when we hear back from Microsoft on this one. Good luck!

Quietly unveiled alongside the 27-inch iMac and the Magic Mouse was this: Apple’s attempt to force the unibody construction that we’ve already seen used on its MacBook Pro into the lowly MacBook line. This 13-incher didn’t revolutionize Apple’s low-end laptop line, but it did add a pinch of style and an integrated “7-hour” battery while keeping the price tag steady at $999. We certainly had our fair share of gripes when testing this scuff-magnet out, but now that you’ve had nearly two months to toy around with your own, we’re anxious to hear what you’d do different next time. Is the build quality up to your standards? Are you still weeping uncontrollably as you search in vain for a FireWire 400 port? Is the 9400M GPU potent enough for you? Did this honestly deserve to be priced at a few hundies less? Feel free to unleash hot fury in comments below — maybe ole Steve will feel the heat.

So, there are two nagging issues surrounding Thermaltake’s awe-inspiring Level 10 enclosure. First, it’s $850 and nearly impossible to find in stock; second, you best know how to piece together a full-blown rig yourself, ’cause you won’t find this beast hanging around at infrequently visited corners of Dell or HP. Somehow or another, however, iBuyPower has managed to swoop in and remedy quandary number two. As of today, it’s the exclusive provider of pre-built systems using this case, with base configurations boasting Intel’s Core i7-920, a 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285, 6GB of DDR3 RAM, a 128GB SSD boot drive, 1TB of storage space and a Blu-ray drive. Feel free to spec this one out ’til your heart’s content, but be mindful of that already-lofty $2,499 starting tag.

Look, we’ve no qualms with Harman Kardon — in fact, we’ve been continually impressed with its wares over the years — but we’re about 99 percent sure we’d never pay a cool grand for a 2.0 speaker set. Yeah, as in a pair of speakers and no subwoofer. Clearly designed for “high-end consumers,” the GLA-55 is a two piece setup meant for fashion-forward desks and bedroom nightstands. The set relies on Atlas AL and CMMD transducers, with the former capable of nearly 1-inch peak-to-peak travel for what we’re told is exceptional bass response.

That said, we find it tough to fathom that a pair of speakers such as this could really be worth the $999.99 MSRP, but we’ll be sure to withhold final judgment until Jim Goodnight (or similar) brings over his dog’s set for us to try out.
