Fedora 12 launches with free enhanced video codec and power management
Fedora is an operating system based on Linux using free software to showcase the latest. Fedora is free: everyone can use, modify and distribute. It is built around the world by people grouped around a community: the Fedora Project. The Fedora Project is an open project, everyone can participate.
The Fedora Project is leading development of software and free content.
Continuing in the time-honored tradition set by the likes of Fedora 10 and Fedora 11, Fedora 12 (codenamed “Constantine”). With this release comes improvements in the realms of webcam support, video codec, audio, security and power management, as well as “bluetooth on demand” and some virtualization enhancements. The only thing absent for the devout Linux fan? A fun alliteration like Karmic Koala.
